Panic Attack Remedies

Monday, April 26th, 2010

If you have anxiety or panic attacks, you will be glad that there are a few natural ways to ease them. You can do these whenever you feel like you are about to get anxious or start to panic.

The first thing is Valerian root and drinking a cup of chamomile tea. You can buy tea bags in any health food store or you can buy Valerian root pills in any drug store. The tea is usually what most people prefer, because it is not as strong as the pills and does not make you sleepy. So just one tea bag, works really well and should help calm your nerves down.

Another thing you could do is go for a walking meditation. Just choose a nature trail and concentrate on the sounds of nature like the birds, leaves rustling against each other and the crickets chirping. As you walk do not think about any of your problems or anything at all. Just completely clear your mind and walk. Take a walk for about an hour or half an hour and usually by the time you finish you will no longer be anxious.

Also if you do not feel like talking a walk, you could simply take a hot shower instead. While in the shower you should completely clear your mind and listen to the water. Feel the water running over your body as it washes away all of the bad negative energy and thoughts that surround you at that time. After about half an hour in the hot shower you should feel a whole lot better.

Your friends and family can also help you control your panic attacks, by calming you down when they see that you are starting to freak out. So being around them maybe another way to help you cope, should you start freaking out.
